UI and UX are different.
UI: Navigation, menu, drop-down, button, link, window, input box, ...
UX: People, happiness, solving problems, efficiency, ...
User centric design is understanding human.
when design a website...
1. Strategy
Determine who the website's users are. What Objective the client wants to accomplish.
2. Outline of scope
List of content and functionality that needs to be inclluded in the site to fulfill the goals set up in the prior, strategy phase.
3. Sitemap
Determine navigational structure of the site, and label for navigational categories.
*the designer found that teens wouldn't prefer to be called "Children" but having 3 different landing pages are not ideal, so they needed to compromise to have 2 landing pages, "for children", and "for adults"
4. Wireframes
Simple scatch of the webpage.
Higher-level concerns like colors, fonts, images, and etc are not addressed as this is "architectural blueprint"
It describes what goes where without stuck with final design details.
5. Visual Mockups
Designers think about colors, typefaces(fonts), how to process images, what images to use, creating textures, icons, and etc. Everything about details are determined here.
